Personal Branding For Lawyers at The Urban Lawyers Careers Conference
Over the years I have the pleasure of facilitating personal branding workshops as part of the annual URBAN LAWYERS Careers conference on Saturday 18th 2017 at Herbert Smith Freehills. I have hosted a series of breakout seminars on Personal Branding and gave law graduates/students insights into how they can use personal branding to enhance their law career journeys. One of the key lessons that many of the delegates learn during my sessions is how they can take ownership of their career trajectory through being empowered with their personal brand identities. Key lessons for new lawyers and solicitors on building their personal brand:
Be clear on personal brand goals.
Be clear on career goals
Know who you are and how you can embrace your authentic self while still being professional
Finding a voice in law
Urban Lawyers is an organization that makes the law (in its academic, practical and career contexts) more accessible to marginalised groups in society. It aims to provide inspiration and education to all who have or will come into contact with the law and/or legal profession. By facilitating these personal branding sessions I was able to enhance the delegates understanding of what it is to network with confidence and manoeuvre confidently through their career paths.
Thanks to Dr Tunde Okewale MBE and his amazing team including Isaac Eloi for inviting me to present to so many passionate legal minds.
Professionals in the law field and beyond can order a copy of my personal branding worksheet to get more of a sense of how to build their personal brand within their industry.
